Using the 2023 National Socioeconomic Survey (SUSENAS) microdata, this study analyzes the influence of women's working hours on household economic well-being in West Sumatra, measured through household expenditure, using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression method. The results show that women's working hours have a positive and significant effect on household economic well-being, indicating that increasing women's working time allocation strengthens family economic capacity through additional income. Furthermore, women's individual characteristics and household structure also play a significant role in influencing expenditure levels. These findings confirm that women's labor supply is a key determinant of household well-being and emphasize the importance of gender-responsive employment policies to improve household well-being and economic resilience in West Sumatra.
Iskho Latifah Muhammad Irfan Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1 Pengaruh Energi Terbarukan Terhadap Kualitas Lingkungan di Negara ASEAN https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/439
This study aims to determine the extent of the impact of renewable energy on environmental quality in ASEAN countries. This study uses secondary data sourced from the World Bank from 1990 to 2023 with research variables grouped into three parts, namely the dependent variable, which in this study is defined as environmental quality, and independent variables, namely renewable energy, as well as control variables used in this study, namely economic openness, urbanization, foreign direct investment (FDI), gross domestic product (GDP), and forest area. This study uses panel data regression analysis with a cross section of 7 countries in ASEAN and a time series from 1990 to 2023. The results show that renewable energy has a positif effect on environmental quality, as measured by carbon dioxide (CO2) emission levels. Therefore, it has the potential to reduce CO2 emission levels in ASEAN countries.
Amelia Fitri Sri Ulfa Sentosa Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1 Pengaruh Ekspor, Impor, Inflasi dan Pengangguran Terhadap PDB Per Kapita di Negara G20 https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/424
This study aims to analyze the effect of exports, imports, inflation, and unemployment on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The type of data used in this study is secondary data using panel data which is a combination of 2020-2024 time series data and cross-section data of 20 G20 member countries. The research was obtained from publications of the World Bank and other related agencies. The analysis used was descriptive analysis and inductive analysis. For the inductive analysis, this study employed panel data regression with a fixed effects model. The results showed that exports have a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The export variable has a positive and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. Furthermore, the import variable has a negative and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. The inflation variable has a positive but insignificant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries. This study also found that the unemployment variable has a negative and significant effect on GDP per capita in G20 countries.

Keywords: Exports, Imports, Inflation, Unemployment, GDP Per Capita
Aliah Afifah Idris Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1 Determinan Tingkat Konsumsi Masyarakat Di Provinsi Sumatera Barat https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/401
This study aims to analyze the factors influencing public consumption levels in West Sumatra Province. The data used is panel data from 32 provinces over the 2018–2023 period. The analytical method employed is panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach. The results show that fish consumption, number of fishermen, and exports have a positive and significant effect on the growth of the fisheries sector. This indicates that increases in these variables contribute to the acceleration of fisheries GDP growth. On the other hand, investment shows a negative and insignificant effect, reflecting the suboptimal realization and impact of investments in this sector. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening domestic consumption, empowering fishermen, and increasing export activities as key strategies to support sustainable economic development in Indonesia’s fisheries sector.

Muhammad irfan Sri Ulfa Sentosa Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1 Pengaruh Kualitas Udara Terhadap Tingkat Kesehatan di Indonesia https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/443
This study aims to examine the effect of air quality on public health in Indonesia in both the short and long run. Public health is proxied by life expectancy at birth, while air quality is measured using PM2.5 concentration, with GDP per capita included as a control variable. The study employs annual time series data from 1992 to 2021 obtained from the World Bank. The Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach is applied to estimate both short-run dynamics and long-run relationships among variables. The results indicate the presence of cointegration among the variables. In the short run, air quality does not have a significant effect on life expectancy. However, in the long run, PM2.5 has a negative and statistically significant impact on public health. Meanwhile, GDP per capita shows a positive but insignificant effect in the long run. The Error Correction Model also confirms the existence of an adjustment mechanism toward long-run equilibrium. These findings suggest that the impact of air pollution on health is cumulative and requires sustained air quality management policies.
Citra zahra Ariusni Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1 Analisis Faktor Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Pengangguran Terdidik Di Sumatera Barat https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/430
This research aims to assess the effect of economic factors on the level of educated unemployment in West Sumatra Province. Educated unemployment is defined as individuals who have completed secondary or higher education but have not yet secured employment. The independent variables analyzed in this study include economic growth, the Human Development Index (HDI), population size, and employment opportunities. The study utilizes panel data covering 19 districts and cities over the period from 2014 to 2023. The analytical method employed is panel data regression using the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The results reveal that economic growth, population size, and employment opportunities have a negative and significant influence on educated unemployment. This indicates that increases in these variables tend to lower the unemployment rate among educated individuals. In contrast, the HDI exhibits a positive but statistically insignificant effect, suggesting that improvements in quality of life have not yet directly contributed to reducing unemployment
Reza Tri Ananda Ariusni Copyright (c) 2026 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) 2026-03-31 2026-03-31 3 1
