It also examines the impact of access to sanitation, government spending on the education sector, government spending on the health sector, and social assistance spending on poverty during the same period. This study uses secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance (DJPK). This research utilizes the panel data analysis method with a fixed effect model to analyze the data. The study findings indicate that average years of schooling, access to sanitation, and government spending on the education sector have a significant negative impact on poverty. Government expenditure in the health sector does not significantly impact poverty. The variable of social assistance expenditure has no negative and insignificant effect on poverty. First, there is the issue of income disparity; second, inflation; and third, the impact of investment on Sumatra's economic development. The quantitative methodology of this research is based on the use of secondary data collected from ten provinces on the island of Sumatra using panel data. This data mixes time series data from 2019 to 2023 with cross-sectional data. In this study, panel data analysis is used.
This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between military spending and economic growth in ASEAN-5 countries. The findings indicate that, in the long run, the urban growth coefficient of 0.527062 exhibits a positive correlation with poverty but lacks significance (Prob. 0.2132 > 0.05). In contrast, in the short term, the urban growth coefficient of 0.9688 demonstrates a significant positive effect on variations in poverty rates (Prob. 0.0380 < 0.05). The HDI reveals a coefficient of -1.302436, indicating a substantial negative influence on poverty in the long term (Prob. 0.0239 < 0.05), although it is insignificant in the short term (Prob. 0.2431 > 0.05).
2024-12-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/128 Efektivitas Kebijakan Moneter di Indonesia 2024-11-18T07:56:07+00:00 Suhendri suhendri00129@gmail.com Doni Satria Donisatria@fe.unp.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of monetary policy in Indonesia. This study uses the VECM method and shows that monetary policy, through interest rates and money supply, effectively manages inflation, economic growth, and exchange rates in the long run, despite variations in the short-run impact. These results suggest a lag in the transmission of monetary policy and emphasize that the Indonesian economy is heavily influenced by external factors, such as world oil prices and economic growth in developed countries. Rising oil prices depress the rupiah exchange rate and increase inflation, while growth in advanced economies supports rupiah stability. An increase in interest rates and money supply also strengthens the exchange rate, as per Mundell-Fleming theory, making monetary policy an effective tool for macroeconomic stability.
2024-12-11T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Media Riset Ekonomi Pembangunan (MedREP) https://medrep.ppj.unp.ac.id/index.php/MedREP/article/view/135 Pengaruh Pendapatan Per Kapita, Jumlah Penduduk dan Jumlah Kendaraan Bermotor Terhadap Konsumsi Bahan Bakar Minyak Pertalite dan Pertamax di Provinsi Sumatera Barat 2024-11-18T09:45:08+00:00 Tri Sukma trisukma1111@gmail.com Ariusni Ariusni77@fe.unp.ac.id
By 2022, consumption of RON 90 fuel in Indonesia will reach 29.68 million liters, up 27% from 23.3 million liters in the previous year, as transportation and industrial activities increase.
